We’re excited to share some of the features that we shipped this month at PaySwifter. Our beta is proceeding well, and we are focused on ensuring our merchants have a superior user experience when it comes to tracking their transactions. We are working towards this goal by: 1) Adding multi-tenancy 2) Offering merchants a way to match transaction data from their PoS / ecommerce software with their payments.

Multi-tenancy and roles for merchant organizations:

To explain this simply, multi-tenancy architecture allows a single organization or merchant (say ABC & Co) to manage multiple stores or locations (Sonoma, SF, and San Diego), that are under their management and control. Each such store is termed as a tenant. Tenants may be given the ability to customize or view only some parts of the application in a way that ensures that the management (under ABC & Co) is able to monitor usage and access to the application dashboard and settings. In this particular release, we focused on adding 3 roles to the tenancy framework.

• Admin' - A user role that has complete access to the entire account, billing, data and other settings. This user role can also make changes to the customer settings, invite other users, and add or delete customers, suspend or reinstate customers.
• Manager - This role allows all access related to viewing financial transaction data, and information regarding customers for a tenant, i.e. a person who has manager permissions can add or delete customers, suspend or reinstate customers.
• Analyst - This role has the least permissions, and mainly allows view-access to transaction and customer data. This role is typically meant for customer support and business analyst roles.

Superior reconciliation and reporting for finance teams:

To make reconciliation and transaction tracking easier, we have added 3 new screens on our merchant dashboard:

• ACH uploads: This screen gives you all the data that you need to match the transactions numbers from your POS provider to the transactions numbers from Pay Swifter.
• Reconciliation report: This screen/ report gives you details about the total number of ACH files uploaded and subtracts the amount that has been returned. Using this report, a finance team can easily complete their reconciliation in less than 10 minutes.
• Returns: This screen shows  ACH returns information in a consolidated manner, and offers retry options.

Automated payment links:

In order to help our merchants increase usage of digital payments, we released a payment links feature. The links can be sent via SMS or Email or both. Especially in cases where a customer is used to placing an order and paying at the time of pickup (causing a delay at the time of actually picking up the order due a lack of cash, lack of parking etc.), the payment links can be used to make the pre-payment easier for the consumer.
